A Community Legacy
Established in 1879, Melrose House carries the whispers of a bygone era. Originally built for Charles Fowell Watts, a young pioneer who arrived in Nelson in 1841, the house became a haven for the Adams family. Over the years, Melrose has witnessed tales of love, resilience, and community spirit.
Wander Nature's Splendor
Surrounded by enchanting gardens and woodlands, Melrose House offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle. The carefully tended gardens, adorned with trees planted by the Adams family in the late 19th century, provide a picturesque setting for leisurely strolls, weddings, and garden events.
